The Ultimate in IT Managed Services

By Zac Paulson

Managed Service Providers support more than just your IT department, they support your future.

When was the last time your computers went down and your IT Company was just as upset as you were?

Well if you’ve been just calling in requests for service and paying by the hour till it’s done, then probably never. However, if you’ve taken advantage of this new phenomenon called Managed Services, chances are your business values are starting to align with your IT Company’s values.

Managed Services is an improved concept to IT service that allows small to medium sized businesses a way to outsource their IT service to a service team compared to hiring an employee or following the typical “break-fix” by-the-hour support system. Basically, a small business “hires” a company to completely cover all their IT problems, support, projects, and strategy. Sound great? Well it can be, but there are many programs out there, so let’s narrow it down to help you figure out what is best for your company.

First, we have the base level of Managed Services Support. This can be as small as remote support and still pay as you go onsite support. This generally includes unlimited remote or telephone support with an inside technician and some minor proactive services, such as updates and maybe low-level monitoring of servers. This is usually a fairly economical service, but really still more reactive than proactive.

Next, is a more proactive approach of Manage Services Support including Onsite. An MSP will usually offer a higher level of monitoring with some stress on security, unlimited remote and telephone support, and usually a limited number of onsite hours. Onsite is set aside for any service that requires an onsite call such as a dead machine, hardware replacement or repair or off-network equipment. This service keeps a network significantly more up to date, secure and closer to a trouble free environment. On the other hand, the cost of this service generally greatly outweighs costly outages and downtime caused from the reactive methods of past “break-fix” IT companies.

Third, is a higher level of monitoring, support, and onsite than normally expected form an outsourced IT company. Traditionally this service was reserved for the in-house IT personnel in large corporations where funds can be directed to running IT as a business within the business. Usually we find the need for an IT entity to be able to have real-time data from the network resources, such as hardware specifications, uptime, software versions, backup logs, event logs, update status, and even regular reboots and defragmentation of hard drives.

Up until now, option three has been reserved for the oganizations that could afford an in-house IT staff, or business. We can easily see how this may be a pipedream for the 4-25 user company, but could ber very beneficialif made affordable. In comes an innovative business concept to IT called Ultimate IT™ and you have just that...

Ultimate IT™ offered exclusively from Ignus Technologies and you have it all:

  • High Level Monitoring Software Included
  • Phone Support Techs for all your user support
  • Remote Support with PC visibility so our techs see what you (the user) sees
  • Onsite Technicians awaiting dispatch for all site service requirements

Additional benefits of Ultimate IT™

Project Planning and Implementation: Means no more bids, or by-the-hour project costing. All IT labor is included for any upgrades, additional servers or workstations, new networking equipment, and any other typical IT project. All you worry about is one low cost for each user or PC on a monthly basis.

Vendor Management: Allows you to let Ignus figure out who to call on any service required outside of the typical IT scope, such as, the copier service tech, the printer guy, the phone/internet company, and any other outside vendors your company deals with for your technical needs. We use your existing contracts or contacts you have, but manage them for you and make sure they do the work they say they will and keep you up to date on statuses.

Budgeting and Project Strategy: Ever need to make a change and have no clue what to look at? Finally, you have a company with your best interest in mind. If we help you get the best solution to fit your budget as well as deliver productivity and minimal downtime, everyone wins. Less service means more money for both parties.

Scalable: As the company grows and you add users and PC’s, we simply install them, support them, and we even scale back as needed at no extra charge above the monthly user fees.

And many more to list…

If you have any questions about managed service providers in the region, please call or email our staff to find out more about how you can be saving money by “unbilling” your IT spending.
